Ocean Beer Alcohol Free Lager (0.0% ABV)

Based on an original recipe from German monks, this 0.0% lager beer is clear and straw coloured with a light body and refreshing tasting notes of dried fruit, a touch of plantain, honey, pepper and dark chocolate together with floral notes.

With its fresh and silky mouthfeel and the smooth bitterness of green fruits, Ocean Beer 0,0 %. is developed with Pilsner & Carabelge malts and Taurus-Hallertau & Hersbrucker hops and is boom-fermented in open tanks.

Ocean Beer: More than just another beer

Three friends who loved to surf got frustrated at the state of the beaches and waters where they surfed due to the constant washing up of rubbish and decided to do something about it.

They developed an IPA brew and sold it to initiate and fund local beach clean-ups. This is how our story began and in 2020 Ocean Beer was launched.

How is this low sugar and what about the carbs?
As defined by governmental guidelines ow sugar means the drink contains less than 2.5g of sugar per 100mls. Products with a higher sugar content cause a spike in insulin and we react by storing more carbs as fat. You may also notice that although lower in sugar there is some carbs, this is usually more complex forms of sugar such as starches and fibre and the body uses these for energy.

How is this product Vegan Friendly?
The drink is free from any animal products or derivatives. In addition the bottle, label and glue is also free from animal products.

Alcohol Free Beers are made just like the alcoholic ones with water, yeast, hops and barley. Some are brewed to a lower ABV and some have the alcohol removed through various techniques. Across Europe beers below 0.5% ABV are classed as alcohol free. In the UK drinks that are between 0.05% and 0.5% ABV are classed as non-alcoholic.
